1. How to delete your account
Open the app and go to Settings, then tap Delete account. That sends a deletion request to our server.
If you cannot sign in, email hello@dogdish.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it for you.
2. What gets deleted
When the request completes, DogDish removes your active account data from our systems and cascades the related rows in the database.
- Your profile, dogs, scans, saved foods, treat logs, subscriptions, and notifications.
- Your community posts, comments, likes, and related feed records.
- Your uploaded images from the private scan and avatar buckets and the public community media bucket.
- Any other rows that are tied to your user account through delete-on-cascade relationships.
3. What may remain temporarily
Some backups, logs, or security records may remain for a limited time because they are needed for reliability, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Cached copies may also linger briefly while they expire naturally.
We do not keep the deleted account as an active user profile, and we do not use deleted account data for normal app features once deletion completes.
4. Subscriptions
As part of the deletion flow, we try to stop future billing linked to the account. If a platform requires a separate cancellation step, follow the platform instructions as well so you do not get charged again.
If you see a billing issue after deletion, email us with the email on the deleted account and the receipt or charge details you have available.
5. If you cannot log in
If you are locked out, send us a deletion request from the email address that is tied to the account. If we need to verify ownership, we may ask a short follow-up question before completing the request.
That is the quickest way to make sure we delete the right account without exposing your data to the wrong person.

DogDish may update this page if the deletion flow changes, but the in-app Settings path remains the primary deletion method unless we tell you otherwise.
